Origin and Creation of the Character
Western Morty is one of the many variants of Morty Smith, appearing in the wacky universe of Rick and Morty, the hit animated series created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. Originating from a Wild West-style world, this alternative Morty embodies a hardened survivor navigating a reality where lawlessness and gunfights are part of everyday life.
Like many other versions of the character, Western Morty highlights the incredible diversity of the Rick and Morty multiverse, where each Morty adapts to the unique environment they grow up in.
Character Description
Western Morty sports the classic cowboy look: a dusty cowboy hat, a bandana tied around his neck, a worn-out vest, and, of course, a revolver on his belt. Unlike the usual Morty, who is often clumsy and uncertain, this version is tougher and more independent, used to surviving in a ruthless world.
Living in a setting inspired by classic westerns, Western Morty frequently encounters interdimensional bandits, alien bounty hunters, and other dangers unique to his world. While he has a more stoic demeanor and a hardened gaze, he still retains some of Morty’s typical naivety, leading to humorous and absurd moments.
With his badass appearance and unique adaptation to a Western universe, Western Morty proves that no matter the dimension, a Morty can always surprise and adapt—even in a world of intergalactic cowboys.
