Tron is an American science-fiction film directed by Steven Lisberger and released in 1982.

Featuring Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, David Warner and Cindy Morgan in the lead roles, the film takes place in the computer and video game world of the early 1980s, and introduces both a virtual world and the concept of artificial intelligence, at a time when the ball mouse was just making its debut.
