Philip J. Fry: The most clueless (and heroic) delivery boy of the future

Philip J. Fry, better known simply as Fry, is the main character in Matt Groening's cult series Futurama. Born in 1974, this clumsy, lazy pizza delivery boy is accidentally cryogenically frozen on December 31, 1999, and awakens in the year 3000 to discover a wacky futuristic world where robots, aliens and intergalactic travel are the norm. Despite his intellectual shortcomings and ineptitude for modern life, he soon finds his place at Planet Express, a delivery company run by his distant descendant, Professor Farnsworth.

Fry is the perfect anti-hero, oscillating between endearing idiocy and unexpected flashes of genius. While he spends most of his time drinking Slurm, playing video games and avoiding work, he proves capable of incredible feats, not least thanks to his unique brain, immune to Flying Brain attacks due to its lack of delta wave. But what makes him truly touching is his unshakeable love for Leela, the crew's badass cyclops, for whom he'll do anything, even cross time and space.
