Danny Trejo is an American actor and producer, born on May 16, 1944 in Echo Park (Los Angeles, California).

Known for his supporting roles in films such as Heat, Desperado, A Night in Hell, The Jaguar, Animal Factory, Anaconda, The Predator, Wings of Hell, Six Days, Seven Nights and xXx, as well as minor roles in hit TV series such as X-Files, Alias, Monk, Bones, Desperate Housewives and Breaking Bad, he received a major breakthrough when he played the title role in the film Machete (2010), a character he also played second fiddle to in the Spy Kids franchise (2001-2011). He reprises the character in Machete Kills (2013).

Thereafter, he alternates leading roles in various B and Z productions such as Death Race (2010-2018) and Bad Ass (2012-2015), while continuing to appear in a substantial number of series, such as Sons of Anarchy (2011-2012) and Flash (2017-2019). Playing the role of Umberto Robina in the video games Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (2006), Trejo became a prolific player in the animation and video game scene in the 2010s, lending his voice to Raul Tejada in Fallout: New Vegas (2010), Tronos in 3Below: Tales of Arcadia (2019) or Cabrakan in Maya and the Three (en) (2021).

He is also known for appearing in commercials for the Old El Paso brand.
