The Lizard, aka Dr. Curt Connors, is one of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains, first appearing in 1963 in The Amazing Spider-Man #6. A brilliant genetic scientist, he works on a regenerative serum based on lizard DNA, hoping to restore lost human limbs. However, after testing it on himself to regrow his missing arm, he transforms into a monstrous reptilian creature known as The Lizard.

In this form, Connors gradually loses his humanity, becoming a beast with superhuman strength, incredible speed, and an impressive healing factor. Despite his animalistic instincts and his goal to replace humanity with a new reptilian species, Spider-Man always tries to save him, knowing that deep down, Curt Connors remains a brilliant scientist and a devoted father.
