Description: SCP-5031 is a non-conscious, quasi-humanoid creature of unknown origin. When observed directly, SCP-5031 temporarily ceases to exist until the observer is no longer looking at the space where SCP-5031 once stood. Traces of its existence (e.g. scratch marks and blood trails) continue to exist when SCP-5031 does not. Video and photographic equipment cannot show SCP-5031's appearance; however, observing its shadow does not cause it to cease to exist, making it possible to deduce some of its physiological traits from its silhouette:

• Abnormally small head with no discernible neck
• Elbows each branching into three arms
• An elongated torso approximately 1.9 meters long1
• a pelvis terminating in a crescent-shaped protuberance of bone tissue, the lower edge of which resembles a blade
• Levitation above the ground at a fixed height of 0.5 meters

Although SCP-5031 has no nutritional requirements, it will nevertheless hunt and consume any human or animal it encounters, using the pendulous lower part of its body to bring down its targets. SCP-5031 does not sleep and is unable to express itself or communicate verbally.
