Special Containment Procedures: SCP-550 is to be held in a standard-sized humanoid cell. SCP-550 is to be provided with a human cadaver twice a week. Any remaining material must be cleaned and removed from the containment chamber after supply. All personnel handling SCP-550 must wear the Hazmat suits and chemical-resistant gloves provided at all times. Instructions for SCP-550 can be communicated via loudspeakers installed in its containment chamber, and should be used for transport, maintenance and testing.

Description: SCP-550 is a humanoid made of wood chips from Fraxinus excelsior (European Ash), measuring 2.1 m in height and weighing 70 kg. SCP-550 strongly resembles a man suffering from advanced muscular atrophy, although it has no internal or external organs. SCP-550 is generally obedient to human subjects, although this obedience is limited to following simple commands. Conversations using alternative communication systems have not determined whether SCP-550 is intelligent. SCP-550 is able to smell, although it has no sensory organs and does so only in order to locate human corpses.
