Bonux (originally Bonus) is a brand of washing powder created in France in 1958 by the American group Procter and Gamble.
The brand quickly became emblematic thanks to its powder and a major marketing innovation: the presence of a gift, a gadget or a small toy, inside the package. So much so that the expression “Bonux gift” entered the French vernacular. When the brand was created, it was called “Bonus”; it became “Bonux” in 1960.
