Minecraft is a sandbox adventure video game developed by Sweden's Markus Persson, aka Notch, and later by Mojang Studios. It's a voxel-based, procedurally-generated universe featuring a crafting system based on the exploitation and transformation of natural resources (mineralogical, fossil, animal and plant).

Minecraft immerses the player in a procedurally-generated world, made up of voxels (cubes) representing different materials such as earth, sand, stone, water, lava or minerals (iron, gold, coal, etc.) forming various structures (trees, caves, mountains, temples). The world is also inhabited by animals and monsters such as cows, sheep, zombies and skeletons. The player can modify this set at will by adding or removing blocks and trying to survive as long as possible, allowing him or her to build constructions with great freedom, reminiscent of Lego design games.
