Óscar Gutiérrez Rubio aka Rey Mysterio (born December 11, 1974 in San Diego, California) is an American wrestler (professional wrestler) of Mexican descent. He currently works for World Wrestling Entertainment, in the SmackDown division, under the name Rey Mysterio.

He is also known for his work at Asistencia Asesoría y Administración and World Championship Wrestling.

He is often considered one of the best luchadores of all time and is often cited as the Mexican-American wrestler who brought the Mexican style of wrestling to the United States during the 1990s

During his career, he was a three-time world champion: twice he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and once the WWE Championship and various secondary titles. He also won the 2006 Royal Rumble.
