Franklin is a Canadian animated television series with 78 episodes of 26 minutes, including two 12-minute segments, created by Paulette Bourgeois and Brenda Clark, produced by Nelvana. 

In France, the series was broadcast from August 30, 1999 on TF1, then on Canal J, TiJi, Piwi, in Quebec from September 5, 1999 on Télévision de Radio-Canada, in Switzerland on RTS Deux and in Belgium on Club RTL and La Trois.

In each episode, Franklin has a dilemma that he always solves in the end, enabling children to identify with the character. Each episode contains a moral.

The series is totally devoid of violence. The characters are confronted with all kinds of everyday situations, and young viewers can discover that what happens to them personally is normal and happens to everyone (being afraid to go to school, being sick, growing up, etc.). The values of tolerance, respect for others, tenderness and fraternity are amply illustrated.
