Goosebumps is an American series of fantasy and horror books for young people, written by R. L. Stine from July 1992 to December 1997 for the original seventy-four-book series.

Various spin-offs from the series, still written by R. L. Stine, were subsequently published. These suspense novels for children and young teenagers were published in France by Bayard Poche between March 23, 1995 and November 13, 2001 for the original series (seventy-four books). This series of books has been a great success not only in France, but also worldwide, especially among young people, with sales of 350 million books translated into thirty-five languages.

It has spawned a franchise and several adaptations, including an anthology TV series of the same title broadcast in the 1990s, with episodes that more or less faithfully reproduce some of the novels in the series. Two film adaptations, Chair de poule, le film (2015) and Chair de poule 2 : Les Fantômes d'Halloween (2018), have also been released. A second TV series was launched in 2023. At the same time, other projects based on the franchise's universe have seen the light of day, including video games and a musical.
