In Predator 2 (1990), the City Hunter, also known as the Ghost Predator, is the fearsome Yautja who stalks his prey in a Los Angeles in chaos. Unlike the Predator of the first film, who hunted in the jungle, this new antagonist evolves in the middle of the city, taking advantage of urban violence to blend into the environment and track down criminals and police officers. With his lighter armor, distinctive mask and improved arsenal, he embodies a more agile and ruthless version of the intergalactic hunter.

The City Hunter introduces several new weapons emblematic of the Predator saga, such as the controlled cutting disk, the steel net that tightens on its target, and the fearsome telescopic launcher.
